Signed installer, served over HTTPS. This page asks the server which build is current, so the version, file name, size and SHA-256 below are the ones actually being handed out.

macOS

Apple silicon and Intel.

The game runs on macOS today; the launcher around it is being ported. Linux after that.

Before you ask

The Windows build is live, and the link always points at the newest one — so the file behind it changes on the next release and the URL does not. Its version, size and SHA-256 are printed beside it, which is what lets you check what you actually downloaded.

macOS is not out yet. The button is disabled rather than missing, so nobody clicks it expecting a file that is not there. Linux after that. The launcher itself is free, and the documentation explains what it sends and how to switch that off.
